We recently went to an art show. We went at the time the paper said it was, but we got there right in the middle of the opening ceremony. There were a lot of people, so we were trying to go unnoticed, but nevertheless we were spotted and so dragged to the front. They sat us down, and then continued on with all the appreciations. We were kinda surprised we didn't end up in the paper, because they were taking lots of pictures of us...ha. There were probably about 10 speeches from former teachers/ mentors of the artist (from what we could gather, as it was all in our other language). The show was an exhibition of sketches. The artist had a range of types, from sketches to finished drawings. He specializes in photorealism, so his work was pretty incredible. These were 2 of my favorites of his.
