Katie, our friend Simone, and I went to an art exhibit at a nearby college this past weekend. It was rather interesting. The artist called the show "Sketches." It was a series of paintings all related to things seen in this country, such as a garland maker, vegetable wala, man sleeping on his cart...basically things that anyone can see on a daily basis. I thought the paintings, if just one was by itself, wouldn't be that visually appealing, but all of them together made for a nice exhibit of colors and thought.
